Donation Refund Policy
Birmingham Jumpstart’s mission is to serve the local community by providing learning curricula that will improve and enhance the academic skills of our adult neighbors. As an IRS-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, general donations, in-kind gifts, or other contributions donated to Birmingham Jumpstart, Inc. are not eligible for a refund. However, we recognize that, on occasion, a blatant error in the payment amount or donor (payee) may occur. If this does occur, you are encouraged to reach out to us within 5 days of your donation submission. We are available Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 AM and 5 PM CST. We will be happy to speak with you about your refund concerns.
Privacy
Birmingham Jumpstart, Inc. appreciates the support of our donors and we value their personal information. When you engage with our Give (Donation) page, or donation links from our emails, donation campaigns, social media platforms, or other external links, your personal information is collected to fulfill your transaction request.
Your data includes information such as:
- Name
- Address
- Telephone number
- Date of birth
- Email address
- Credit Card (our organization does not store your credit card information)
- Other data collected that could directly or indirectly identify you.
Your personal information is always kept safe and confidential. We treat our donors’ privacy with care and as such we will not share, rent, distribute, or sell your personal information. We will not share your data with other individuals, organizations, businesses, companies, associations, etc. nor distribute donor campaigns (email, flyers, mailouts, etc.) on behalf of other individuals, organizations, businesses, companies, associations, etc. that have not been previously authorized by you.
Once your personal information has been submitted to us, whether online or through offline methods, it is automatically categorized into an “opted-out” setting. This simply means that your personal information will not be shared with anyone, except as it is necessary to complete your requested transaction (primarily to complete the donation request). This Donor Privacy Policy applies to our online and offline contact and engagement with you.
Your personal information is safe with us and extreme caution is utilized when your data is accessed by our organization.

Birmingham Jumpstart, Inc. Give (Donation) page(s) are protected with a valid and updated SSL certificate. Our legitimate Give (Donation) page(s) will have “HTTPS” in the website search bar. This is the legitimate Birmingham Jumpstart, Inc. Give (Donation) page: https://birminghamjumpstart.org/give/. Please note the “HTTPS” in the web page address. This means that you can rest assured that your personal and financial information is secure and that any data you exchange with our site is encrypted, which keeps it safe from rogue snooping or exploitation.
